Scope includes
- Structural design of Olympic-size swimming pool as water retaining structure
- Gallery Building consisting of Lobby, Changing rooms at ground floor level and a viewing gallery at 1st floor
level with Tensile Fabric Structure supported by Steel framed structure.
- Plant Room and Balancing Tank facilitating the operation of the facility.
The Structure is first designed using simple hand calculations followed by computer model with spring constants calculated from soil report to assess the probable soil-structure interaction for the pool design. The bending moments from analyses were used and checked for strength and crack width calculations are performed for water tightness of structure.
